Just for funsies I started a 30 Day No Spend Challenge.
Fasting is an ancient tradition, and fasting from consumerism has benefits as well. It can enlighten us on where we spend and why. It can show us how much we have already.
So no spend does not mean to not spend at all. It’s about only spending on essential things. Taking time to stop and decide on whether something is essential is informative and results in a lot less impulse buying. What I also like about this challenge is that you don’t have to keep track of numbers and spreadsheets. (You can start this tomorrow with no prep.) This kind of challenge is not about saving a certain amount of money. It is about thinking about your spending and taking a moment to appreciate how much you have and not what you don’t have.

Give it a try if you’re curious about why and how you spend!
